Funeral services for Pete Jancik of Hay Springs will be held at the United Methodist Church in Hay Springs at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Ludwig officiating. Burial will be at the Hay Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Jancik died July 25, 2008 in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was 71. A memorial has been established for the Hay Springs Fire Department and the Hay Springs Ambulance Fund. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970; Chadron, NE 69337.
His survivors include his wife; Sharon Jancik of Hay Springs; sons: Mike and wife Tricia Jancik of Hay Springs, Clay and wife Kimberly Jancik of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters: Traci Bates Spracklen of Sutherland, Brandi and husband Brock Musgrave of Westminster, Colo.; sister: Laura Scherbarth of Hay Springs and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Jancik was born Jan. 5, 1937.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron.
